What can happen, what can you do about it?
Lecture at the Viwis eLearning Forum on November 10, 2010, in Billerbeck.
It was about the application and examples of where flops can occur and what we can do about it.
The content
Very often we hear in the media and in lectures how great everyone is. And we hear about how great everything works when implementing a training course or implementing eLearning or blended learning.
But we all know that things don’t always go smoothly. There are plenty of scenarios where things can go wrong. Whether technically, within the organization, with the bosses or the project team, at the hotel, and many others.
So, for this workshop I set myself the goal of getting these things on the table or on the pin board. We discussed everything that has already happened to us openly and honestly. And we listened to the others about the ideas and strategies they had developed for themselves and their company.
The structure for analyzing flops, misfortune, and mishaps
So that we don’t walk on without a sense of direction and empty-handed, I have brought with me a new structure, the way in which such a short workshop can be prepared. And, of course, I also brought input so that we could build on something.
The structure was such that we clung to the common thread of training. So, what can happen before training, during training, and after training, was the focus of the boards.
I also integrated important company perspectives:
- the organizational point of view
- infrastructure issues
- and the human aspects
So, we got a little hungry between 9 pin boards before eating. 😂
Overall, there was a lot of input and a lot to discuss. Thank you all for your active participation.
