For the seminar series of the Advanced Leadership Program I was able to carry out the first module: “Leading with coaching methods” a total of 5 times. In doing so, I was able to help 63 executives find exciting insights into different coaching methods. Particularly interesting was the demarcation of manager – leader – coach. It was a great discussion basis. In this way, the managers were also able to sort out the topic of coaching differently.
For this reason, the managers were given the opportunity to get help with advisory staff. You also wanted to know how much leadership an employee needs. Or they wanted new methods to help you open new perspectives for yourself and your employees. In addition, topics emerged such as “make clear what they want to change”, “becoming more open” and also questioning techniques.
So three German classes and also two English seminars were held, one in Manchester. The participants came from different countries, such as England, Finland, France, India, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and Spain. We had a great atmosphere in both seminars and a lot of fun in the cultural differences.
All seminars focused on topics of communication and conversation skills. With the learned questioning techniques we started with the role playing. We also worked in small group work to change the communication so that the employee can also feel comfortable and motivated.
Here, too, the findings were multiply and impressive. From “taking more time” over “realizing patience” to “being authentic”, it was almost without exception developing potentials for one’s own personality.
