TITLE: You give me, and then I give you -> Content is King

Content is King“ is the motto on the e-learning scene.

But content is expensive. The idea that companies use or develop digital learning content together seems promising. So far there have been three major projects about content sharing. managerSeminare eLearning introduces them.

When a company approached X-Pulse e-Learning GmbH, St. Ingbert, with the request to develop a learning program, Andreas Bernt-Bärtl recalled: „Man, we have already created such a learning program for another company. „Those thoughts from the X-Pulse advisor came a good year and a half ago. At that time, Bernt-Bärtl asked himself: „Wouldn’t it be better for companies if they could share e-learning content? Developing content multiple times – that doesn’t make sense.“

It was these thoughts that gave rise to the ContentForum. It is a community of companies – initiated by ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Audi, RWE Systems, the Central Office for Further Education in Crafts (ZWH) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). They all want to exchange their e-learning content with one another or develop and use content together. Digital learning contentcould therefore, be used multiple times.

This is called content sharing in the e-learning scene. The main advantage of content sharing for companies: You save costs. „A company does not have to have a learning program specially developed for them if the corresponding content is already available from another company. Rather, it can purchase the content for a cheap price or swap it for a learning program from in-house that is of interest to the other company „, explains Ursula Hesselmann, Head of Employee Qualification New Media at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, the concept of the ContentForum.
